To automatically update Joomla 3.0.0 to Joomla 3.0.1 version, go to your administrative control panel site and perform the following steps:

• Select the menu item "Site-Service-Clear the entire cache" and delete the entire cache
• Select the menu item "Site-General Settings" and disable caching
• Select the menu item "Extensions-> Extensions Manager"
• In the Extension Manager select "Update"
• On the toolbar click the "Clear Cache"
• On the toolbar click on "Find Updates"
• In the list of updates, select Joomla line with the desired version and click "Update"
• After the update, you must clear your browser cache as JavaScript and CSS files can be cached by the browser

If for some reason the automatic update fails, you can install the update manually. To do this, download the service pack (Joomla_3.0.1-Stable-Update_Package.zip), go to the menu "Extensions Manager Extensions" and install the service pack from the extensions.
